Companies House are experiencing technical issues

Companies House have confirmed that they are experiencing technical issues with certain web-filing services.

• WebFiling remains closed as of 9am on Tuesday 16 June
• The Set up a limited company and register for Corporation Tax service remains closed as of 9am on Tuesday 16 June
• You cannot file using software as of 9am on Tuesday 16 June
• Same day filings can’t be processed

Services still available to use, but won’t appear online until the issues are resolved are:-

• filing accounts using the Find and update company information service
• uploading documents to Companies House using the Upload a document service
• closing a company online
• filing on paper
• getting a personal code for identity verification

They hope to publish a further update on service availability by midday on Tuesday 16 June.

They advise that there is no need to contact companies house at this time about late filings arising as a result of these issues, although they do say that screenshots or error messages should be taken and provided as evidence in the case of any late filing penalties.
