We've now resolved the incident. Thanks for your patience.
We have been advised that a further TaxCalc update is expected today (Friday 17th April 2026) – version 19.1.200.
This is in addition to version 18 that was released a few weeks ago.
It is important that you upgrade your TaxCalc to the latest version, to reduce the risk of encountering bugs that have been fixed in subsequent releases.
Preparation ahead of the update
• Please ensure that you read the release notes. • You will need the credentials for the Admin User for the TaxCalc application. • Please let your team know when you plan to do the update, as it will kick everyone out.
After performing the update, all users when signing in will also be prompted to do the update on their local install.
Acora One Hosted Desktop Practices
This update will require local admin permissions to run, so please contact Acora One to run or schedule your update.
If you try to do the upgrade and receive a notification about reaching your backup limit, please refer to the help guide here.
Cloud 365 Core Practices
Most Cloud 365 Core practices will have local admin permissions so you may not need Acora One's assistance to install/ run the update.
The only exception to that is if you have outsourced users on the Cloud 365 Apps platform. They may require local admin credentials, and your outsourced team member will need to contact their own IT team to authorise this (it won't be Acora One).
A word of caution
I am aware that TaxCalc may have shared a download link for the last update. Please do not use this link unless you understand it’s application, as it can cause version discrepancies between your TaxCalc application and your TaxCalc database if not used correctly. My strong advice is to follow the guidance above.
The TaxCalc Update is now Available for the Network.

TaxCalc are investigating a problem which is affecting a small set of Mac users where the application may appear to loop on launch. Not all Mac users are affected and it appears to be ones which are not running the latest version of the OS available to them.
We are aware that TaxCalc have paused the rollout of their Spring Update to any further customers whilst they work on a hotfix.
We are expecting an update on this tomorrow morning and we've asked TaxCalc to communicate with you directly with more information as soon as it's available.
The priority is to get the update out to you as soon as is practicable. Once the hotfix is released, we will work with TaxCalc to understand the root cause and what can be done differently in the future.
